Introduction from the Center Director

Welcome to the WSS Culinary Blog! Chef John Doman and his team in the kitchen do an amazing job of serving great food to our guests at WSS. We work hard to ensure our meals are a blessing to our guests, an extension of our ministry programs and not “just” a meal. We routinely get wonderful compliments and reviews about the delicious recipes that are served at WSS, so we have decided to start a food blog to both share recipes and ideas from Chef John and his team, as well as to also provide a means for you to get to know them just a little bit better.

Speaking of that, let me first introduce our Executive Chef, John Doman. Just this month he is celebrating 5 years of working here at WSS. John graduated from a technical culinary program and worked for several years in a restaurant that was acknowledged by AAA as one of the top 50 restaurants in America, as well as at a resort in Vermont. It was there in Vermont that John first served as an Executive Chef. Additionally, he spent more than seven years working for a food service contract company that specialized in serving to Christian colleges and eight years at another Christian conference center. He’s spoken at numerous events up and down the East Coast and nationally on culinary-related topics, and has been a contributor to an article featured in a national magazine. We’re thankful to have John on the team here at WSS!
