TOPIC: "It is finished..."

Easter - the beginning of "new life". Easter was not an improvement on life, or the fine-tuning of life, but truly the beginning of something new - something that the world after the fall had never seen - something called "life". Jesus ends the "old", and ushers in the "new" with the very deliberate use of the word "finished". In fact, he makes the very clear declaration that it is finished twice at this threshold of new life. We will take these days together to examine the death and resurrection of our Lord with a particular focus on His finished work, as we both look back on His work on the cross and as we look forward to the work left for His church to do.
