He has published articles and books and has served as an officer in both the Evangelical Theological Society and the Evangelical Philosophical Society. John and his wife, Esther, met at White Sulphur Springs, Esther served on support team, both served on senior staff, and ultimately John served on full-time staff from 1988-1991, being the founding director of Allegheny Outback! John is a graduate of Wheaton College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Now he and Esther are missionaries with World Venture in Prague, Czech Republic where John pastors an international church. They have five children. This week is also open to all former Senior Staff and promises to be a fun time of great teaching, reminiscing and visioning for the future. Using the life and experiences of Moses as a backdrop, we will explore multiple principles revealed in Scripture dealing with: THE call, the nature of "callings", the commission, the desired character of Christ in a leader, the need to think conjunctively and compatibly about life and death, and a leader's opportunity to choose his destiny. After serving a full career as an army officer and as OCF Council vice-president, Jim helped to establish and then direct Military Community Youth Ministries (MCYM). Now he remains active as Ambassador-at-Large for Youth Compass International and has served in OCF's Growing and Building Campaign. Jim and his wife, Barbara, live in Colorado Springs. Wisdom is the art of knowing the right thing to do in life's complex realities where techniques, moral rules or life principles don't apply simply. This series will ask: What is at the heart of wisdom? and What is God's wisdom for life's real issues? Please plan to attend this week and prepare by reading and re-reading the book of Proverbs. Keith and his wife, Gale, live in Annapolis, MD where Keith serves as senior pastor of Broadneck Evangelical Presbyterian Church. They have five children and five grandchildren. This study will open our hearts to the Lord who is our Shepherd and also reveal much about why God refers to us as his sheep. The confidence, comfort, and peace that this Psalm brings will guide us to the "green pastures" and carry us through the "valleys" that all of us are sure to encounter as we walk with the Shepherd. John is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where he played quarterback for Navy, surpassing several records previously set by Roger Staubach. After serving as a surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy, John attended Liberty Seminary where he studied under Jerry Falwell and coached the Liberty University football team. Dr. Cartwright is the founding pastor of Calvary Independent Baptist Church near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he has served Christ for 33 years.
