The annual Eastern ROTC Retreat will encourage and edify ROTC cadets and midshipmen from across the eastern region, introducing non-Christians to Christ and motivating believers to have a vision for the military as a mission field as they prepare to commission and serve.

All interested Army/Air Force ROTC Cadets, Navy ROTC Midshipmen, Marine Corps PLC candidates, and Coast Guard CPSI candidates on the East Coast, along with their ministry group leaders/mentors, are invited to attend.

Speaker: Jesse T Curry BG USARMY CENAD (USA)

Topic: Living a Life that Glorifies Jesus Christ- Considering the experiences I have had throughout my career that have shaped me, they all come back in one way or another to glorifying God, not strength, not agility, not lethality, not self.  The Glory of God is the a central characteristic of a life of purpose.

Bio: Brigadier General Jess Curry currently serves as the Commander and Division Engineer for the North Atlantic Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He received his commission through the ROTC program at Wheaton College and started his Army career in 1998 before his wife Sarah joined him in marriage the next year. The Curry family has been blessed with assignments all across the U.S. and over the years has been prayerfully sustained through Jess’ multiple deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Poland and the many other family challenges associated with military life.

Sarah and Jess have five children ages 14 to 24 and have been longtime members of Officers’ Christian Fellowship, enjoying and supporting both local Bible study groups and retreats at White Sulphur Springs and Spring Canyon. The Currys continue to believe military service is their God-intended mission field and above all they cherish any and all opportunity to share from those experiences in ways that bless others and give glory to God.
