Cliff and Gail Saxton have a long-standing relationship with WSS. It began when the hotel was still operated by Paul and Patricia Cochran. On a road trip in the early 70’s while they were stationed in the Navy in Washington, their guidebook took them to a ‘historic hotel’ located in a cove outside of Manns Choice, PA. That brought them to the doors of WSS for the first of many stays. After OCF bought the property in 1978, Cliff and Gail stepped in to preserve the history of this very unique location and community. She and Cliff have served as part of our team as the historians and archivists for over 40 years.
The family encourages all who know and love Gail and WSS to attend this special memorial celebration.
The service will be 4:30 on Saturday, May 31st in our main conference room, and is open to all who would like to attend. Dinner will follow at 5:30. If you plan to stay for the guest dinner, please make your reservation by filling out the guest registration form. If you would like to take additional meals and lodging, please fill out your planned overnight(s) and meals.
Costs: Lodging for Friday and Saturday night are available. Meals begin with a Friday night dinner and continue through Sunday breakfast. The rate is $98/night/adult, $49/night/teen, $37/night/youth (5-12), children 2 and under no cost. This nightly rate includes your lodging and meals.
If you are not lodging at WSS, the per person meal rate is $10.50 for breakfast, $13.50 lunch and $18.00 for dinner. Children 12 and under are half-price. Please indicate the meals you would like to take on the registration form.
